NO
tThey say that, but I work at an advertising company, and nobody is lefthanded. So we are all fake artistic minds, or it's not true.
I go for the second one (better for my self esteem LOL)

I'm left handed, but I am not particularly artistic. My daughter on the other hand who is also left handed is very artistic and musically gifted. The artistic side has only recently come through.

I think everybody is born with a gift of some sort, but it is not always found. I have always watched what my daughter has shown an interest as she has grown up and have actively encouraged her to partake in these be it gymnastics, horse riding, swimming, the list goes on.

Show an interest and the gift will flourish. Ignore it and it will die.

Not at all! Left-handed people just write and draw with a different hand! Nothing to do with creativity or an inclination to the arts.

I'm not certain what the latest research says. I do know that the right side of the brain is the 'creative' side, and the left side the 'analytical' side, and that one particular side of the brain controls the opposite side of the body.

I also know I'm extremely creative and I'm left handed. But I have extremely creative right handed friends, and extremely uncreative left handed friends.

Interestingly, though perhaps not directly related, recent brain research has suggested that left handed men have brains which are closer in structure to a female's than a male's, tending to make them think more like 'women' than men.

I had heard that in general this only applied to left handed men as both left and right handed women develop better in this area anyway?

That doesn't mean all will be or all chose to follow up on this I was under the impression it merely applied to potential.

Yes. I went to art classes and there was a much higher percentage of left-handed students than in a regular college class.

I am left handed and not artistic at all. My husband and two of our children are also left handed and much more creative then I.

Yes. It has to do with the active part of the brain. Creativity is centered more in the right hemispere of the cranial lobe which controls the left part of the body.

Yes because a lot of people who would have been lefties, have been made to change and have lost the artistic touch, so they are now in the inartistic group with all us other philistines
