They gave us the Beatles, the Kinks, the Moody Blues, the Stones, the Animals, Led Zeppelin, Procul Harum and Pink Floyd to name but a few of the giants. Peter Sellers, Richard Burton, Sir Lawrence, Elsa Lancaster, PATRICK MCGOOHAN (to die for) Julie Andrews, Vanessa Redgrave, the list goes on and on, Monty Python, of course. Oh and I almost forgot, my paternal grandfather who was a Liverpoolian.

I think the English are alright, bit ignorant at times and have a really dry sense of humour. Northern Irish are definitely the best though x x x

I would like to agree whole heartily but when i look back in history i feel ashamed,and do you just mean England or Britain,and the way it is today doesn't make me feel very proud either as it's too full of other people that don't belong in what was once our green and pleasant land

I'm American - but I have to agree with Miss Magz Alot - British comedy is WAY better.
And you have Judi Dench - no American actress is 1/2 as good!

bloody good!! I'm not english I'm american and I like the english better than well us. Your comedies are so much more funny than american comedies.
