I reckon it was as right from the start, Connie always seemed to be the favoured one. There were many references to it in the media, however, now everyone has been hushed on this point. What does anyone else think?

I think it wasnt so much a fix but they def favoured connie as she was sooo good and both of the men had put alot of their own money into the west end show.
I was in 6th form with connie and she is def the right girl for the job-she was amazing in school concerts back in the day!

maybe not quite fixed. they definitely had their dights set on Connie from the last 10 or 20 onwards and rightly so. Helena came really good in the last few weeks and I wouldn't say there was much between them. I think Connie had a little extra professionalism and experience and they wanted her for that as well as her amazing talent. I don't honestly think it was fixed but I think they were glad the result went that way. I would love to see it, at the Palladium. I think at least all the last 10 girls/marias will have risen to fame as a result of the show, even if they were not voted to the end.

I hope not as i spent a small fortune in voting for her,as she was the only one with any real talent to fit the job,and i just loved her
