Did you hear about the termite that walked into the bar and asked where's the bartender?

I think it means that the termite was asking where is the bar tender. Because he wanted to eat the bar and he wanted to know where it was most tender. Not very funny.

That is a bit of a lame one. Basically the termite wanted to know which part of the wooden bar was the most tender so he could eat it.

Well, I'm guessing it's a play on the word 'bartender'. Tinder is another name for wood and termites like wood. It sounds like a dumb joke, but so dumb, you just might laugh.
