They are one of the larger third parties. Why were they removed from the stage this past debate? Doesn't seem fair to me that we are not allowed to hear their ideas at the debates, does it?

Can Republicans and Democrats take this seriously for once and not just make stupid comments based on what they think as opposed to what they know?

They are in the same boat with the Libertarians, Constitutionals, Communists, Socialists, and the various nutjobs. They are more likely to allow an "independent" candidate to debate than any kind of a third or 4th tier candidate. I imagine this goes back to the fear and loathing that the power structure had for the communists and socialists in previous decades. It's too bad because the reigning parties are such carbon copies of each other; other parties have thoughts that could benefit the country.

Expect the same until the Dems and Reps have burned their bridges and have to share their ball with others.

Where I live, a party must have had a candidate receive 5% or more of the vote in the previous election to be considered a "major" party and allowed in to the debates. The "Greens" usually do not do that well in most parts of the country so they are still considered a "minor" party.

Also, keep in mind, the rules are written by the Democrats and the Republicans. They don't want other parties in the debates.

I think they should make federal expenditure for campaigns equal, regardless of the percentage of the vote garnered by a party. The Big Two will do everything in their power to crush the smaller parties; because, they know that if the People hear what the other parties have to say, they're done for. It's sad, really.

Because we are stuck in a two party system, and the Democrats/Republicans don't want other viewpoints to take away from their power.

BECAUSE REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS DON'T DEBATE REAL ISSUES AND PROBLEMS, THEY SLAM EACH OTHER, WHERE THE GREEN PARTY CANDIDATES WILL DEBATE REAL IMPORTANT PROBLEMS AND ISSUES. THAT'S WHY REP. & DEM. DON'T WANT GREEN PARTY TO GET INVOLVED IN DEBATES.

Because the issues and stances of the Green party are usually wrong and moronic.

Just a thought.
