Lost 25lb. in 8 weeks last year under an NHS dietician. A lot in the first week and then around 2lb. each week. You wouldn't want to lose more than that per week and almost 2 stone makes a huge difference. You have to keep a food diary and write down everything you eat.
5 columns headed up for the portions -
6 bread 6 fruits 2 milk 2 meat 1.5 fat/sugar.
Down the left hand side write what you eat and then tick across the columns for each portion eaten.
Towards the end of the day you total up what you've had and can then can have a munch on the remainder. This totalled 1500 k.cals for 14 stone person to lose weight. To find out how many cals. you need per day to lose weight, believe there are tables at weightlossresources.co.uk and the portions could be upped or reduced proportionately.
The portion sizes are:-
Bread, cereals and potatoes - 1 portion = 1 slice bread, half a roll, 3 crackers, 2 small potatoes, half a baked potato, 2 tbs. rice, 1 biscuit, 1 weetabix.
Fruit & Veggies - one fruit, 2 tbs. vegs, one side salad, 2 tbs. tinned fruit.
Milk and Dairy - one third pint semi skimmed, 1 small pot low fat yoghurt, 1oz. cheese, 3oz cottage cheese, 2 ox. low fat soft cheese.
Meat, Fish & alternatives -
2-3oz lean meat, 50z fish or tuna in brine, 2 eggs, 5tbs baked beans, 4 tbs. cooked pulses, lentils, dahl., 2 tbs. nuts or 1 oz peanut butter, 2 slices cold meat, 2 grilled sausages, 4oz soya, tofu, quorn.
Fatty & Sugary -
1 oz low fat spread or low cal. mayo.
half oz. butter.
This is the healthy way to lose weight. Weight has stayed off and more besides this year. It permanently quickened up my metabolism. Sometimes it is a chore to eat it all but you have to eat all the portions or you don't lose the weight.

I am sorry but I don't think this is going to be
achievable. That is a huge amount of weight to lose
in such a short time. Besides, it is very dangerous. You would have to starve yourself, and even then you would not lose it.
In eight weeks, depending on what you do/exercise, etc,
you should be able to lose a stone or stone and half, but it is hard to say.
Losing weight should be done evenly over a course of time.
It should be done gradually, not rapidly.
If it is done rapidly, you will lose muscle tone and not fat. You
will feel terribly lethargic and may even get ill.
Crash diets don't work and chances are you will just put the weight back on very quickly. I speak from experience!!
Speak to your dr. if you are very worried about it, but the best thing to do is to start today but cutting back on sugar, fat and processed foods.
Try eating a balanced diet and having smaller meals.
Increase your exercise.
If you are wanting to lose a lot of weight, start gradually by walking 20 minutes a day and then build this up, 30 mins and then 60 minutes a day. And try to walk EVERYDAY. You will be amazed at how this will assist with weight loss.
Don't fall for any gimics. They are dangerous..
This has to be done gradually.
If it is, you will lose weight.
You may lose 3 stones over a course of 6,8 or 12 months. It just depends on your metabolism as well and how hard you work at it.
Think. Low energy input. Eat less but eat well(good healthy foods)
High energy output - Exercise more!! Exercise more than you eat. But have fun doing it!
Low impact aerobics or cycling are good ways to have fun and lose weight. Take up dancing or put on some music and dance around your living room.
I am sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for but I feel it has to be done gradually, but,, it can be achieved over a course of tiime.
good luck and stay smiling : )

You are not going to lose three stone in 8 weeks, that's unrealistic and unhealthy to do it in such a short amount of time. Don't risk other health issues by trying to reach an unrealistic goal. Do it properly, and slowly, the weight will stay off that way.
All the best and be sensible.

Exercise is an option, full-time is 9-5, don't be so lazy. You also have weekends. without exercise you will get fatter. Remember that there is more to exercise than the gym at least you have realised that this will take about a year. Eat healthily, lay off the booze and MOVE for an hour a day. good luck.

Not too healthy to lose that much in 8 weeks and quite unsustainable. You could aim for 2/3lbs a week and at that rate you could lose 16/24 lbs (about 1.5 st) - and keep it off!
Have a look at www.weightlossresources.com, you pay but it's not expensive and I lost quite a bit of weight (and kept it off).

You'd risk losing muscle doing it that quickly. Jolly bad idea.

thats not a very realistic target unless you stop eating altogether, the slower you lose it the more likely it is to stay off
