it depends on the person. love is an emotion, marraige is just the legal bindings of it. you get some legal benefit from marraige, such as making medical decisions, financial decisions, and sometimes a tax break from the IRS!

Your question is a very good one but this forum isn't the best place to ask it as we don't know you or your situation.

Do you have a religion? If so, the beliefs of that religion should play an important role in answering your question.

I will say this much, if you have any serious doubts right now, then don't get married now.

Are you weighing remaining single versus getting married? If you are, I encourage you to carefully think about both options with an open mind. Don't make a decision because of past experiences if you've had heartbreak in your life.

Remaining single would mean that you would be free to live your life without answering to a life partner; however, being single can be very lonely.

I will pray for you, your decision.

If you're old enough and you love the person, and all the other 'typical' conditions (economic, emotional, etc.) are amenable, then why not? It's your right as an American.

How old are you? Are you in love? Is he in love with you? Do you want to spend the rest of your life with him and him alone?
