UC Berkeley offers gender studies, womens studies and minors in LGBT studies. SFSU also has goos human sexuality and gender studies programs.

You may also want to look into UC and CSU schools that will allow you to craft your own major.

Folks, if you don't like a subject, then don't study it. For the rest of the people who may have an academic interest in it, let them do their research.

That goes for the fundies who didn't like the fact that I once studied evolutionary biology as part of my molecular bio degree.

Your best bet is to look into a Sociology major with a Women's Studies minor. That will give you the opportunity to study all segments of the current culture, with an emphasis on women's issues. (The only classes I took as an undergrad that went into gender studies were my women's studies courses - one psychology and one english class taught from a feminist perspective.)

You can also get involved with the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender organization at your school, I'm sure they would be able to help you with any outside research you are interested in.
