If you are holding her against her will, it is a crime. Don't be a douche.

If u closed the door and prevented her from leaving the room in anyway ..ie she goes for the knob and u push her hand away or u stand up against door never moving while she repeatedly say she doesnt want to talk "let me go" and the only means to leave is the door and u r blocking it, it is false imprisonment which is the cousin to kidnapping. Now, false imprisonment is a tort and not a crime. But,it is an intentional tort where all is needed to establish prima facie is that u were substantially certain that act would prevent her from leaving. So, if she can win that, dont u think a D.A. would be confident in pursuing the probable cause in front of a grand jury and criminal court for kidnapping?

Kidnapping no, it's probably not illegal at all.
But that's controlling behavior. If someone doesn't want to be in a room with you, even your own wife, they have every right to leave. Just because you may be bigger and stronger doesn't mean you should excercise that method.
Hope that helps.

A wife can charge you with anything, but a judge will decide its merit. Now let your wife out of the bedroom.

Obviously there's more to the story, and you've just given the part you think should be an excuse. So if the excuse were true, it wouldn't be kidnapping, but the excuse isn't true, now is it?

Only if you keep he in there and don't let her communicate with others or if you take a shotgun and place it on the bed and infer that her leaving will cause a problem

Closing the door -- NOT kidnapping.

Not letting her leave -- kidnapping.

Simple as that.

well i would't think so unless you abuse her while you're both in there... other than that closing a door is just a way of getting more privacy....
