have mixed feelings about it. I've had mine since it came out in late July, and I've already had to exchange it twice. Once was for signal issues, the second time it kept randomly deleting my text messages. I've had this last one about a month and so far so good.

Downsides: everything on the phone is stored on the network, so if you go out of service, you won't have access to your address book, texts stored on the device (not sim) and pictures stored on the device (not on memory card). Also, it seems to be a recurring problem with all the sidekicks that they don't get as good signal as other phones. You can't send picture messages, just email. No video, iffy quality on the camera (it's only 1.3 megapixels) And it is a lot bigger than other phones (but smaller than the Sidekick 2)

Upsides: I'm addicted to it! It's soooooo easy to text and access the internet. I text more than I call....and I couldn't count how many times I've used it just to look up phone numbers and directions. It's EDGE capable, so it's faster browsing than non-EDGe phones (in supported areas). Also easy and quick to check my email. The $20 a month includes unlimited gprs (internet and email) and unlimited text messages.I've had no problems with the screen or speakers...I love the looks I get when I use it, and I get asked almost daily "is that a Sidekick 3?" The trackball makes it easy to navigate and get around the internet as well. And the MP3 player is great! If you are going to use the mp3 player and camera a lot, I would purchase a bigger memory card than the one that comes with it.

Overall, it really depends on what you need in a phone. I may be getting rid of mine just because I would like something with a better camera and video capabilities, but it can't be beat for texting.

Hmmm.... attempt protecting it plugged in and keeping the ON button down for 10 to twenty seconds. The ON button is often the top button for a decision or the pink button on maximum fones, especially doubting its pink on the sidekick. If that doesnt artwork.... hmmmm.......
