If I'm in the kitchen more than one cook is too many.......a friend of mine drives me crazy when he comes over for dinner........always want to put in his 2 cents with regard to my cooking.........forever the italian way of course........he being the italian of course........when I cook I put my heart and soul into it and want him to appreciate a good meal.....now he is the same way.......he does not allow me into his kitchen when he cooks for me......instead I'll pour the wine, select the music and relax. Now on holidays more than 1 cook can be a pleasure but not too many in the kitchen at one time!

Depends on how big the kitchen is? If its a small kitchen then as little as two is too many.

Only one for a dish. More than one cook handling a dish spoils the proportion and taste.

There should only ever be one cook in the kitchen. Any more, and saucepans start to fly.
