Unless you have red shoes that match exactly I would wear either black or a metallic, silver or gold would be nice depending on the brooch color.

Depending on what kind of dress it is...black will always go, but you can jazz it up with a zebra print, or black and white polka dots...red would be too predictable...so I'd stay away from that...unless it's mainly black with red dots...that might be cute...also...if you can pull it off, blue also looks great with red...i would definitely NOT do white =)

Black heels, flats. pointed flats for formal look. round front-flats for a dress down event.
it also depends on the brooch u r wearing, of what shape. if flower, u could try, white with little flowers or flowery sweet looking flats.

black is always a safe choice, you could try red (if the tones aren't too far off from each other).
You could also look for a metallic shoe, but be careful with these, because they can look really cheap.
