I did a search on Survivor and all the questions that initially came up were about the show; not about the band!

Survivor, around since the late 1980s, recorded "Eye of the Tiger" and "Burning Heart" for the Rocky movies as well as a song on the Karate Kid soundtrack.
An excellent band which seems to have been poorly treated by its record labels...

Sadly the band isn't known by most people in the new generations (the group of 13-19 year olds). Only us people that are ealry 80s babies and earlier will know them truely.

because the show survivor has been around a lot longer than the band, survivor has been on the air for 13 seasons (i think, but i'm pretty sure it's that, either 13 or 14)
if you don't know it's about 16 people who compete for 1 million dollars, it's pretty good
it's on thursday nights on cbs, 8/7 central
