Never plug more than three strings together unless it tells you on the packaging you can. Have extension cords and a power strip to plug them into. Then use the power strip to turn them on and off.

depending on the location you wnat to hook them up ther are hooks you can buy at hardware stores. Some just clip in to awnings (then you clip the lights to them) others stick on using double sided tape.. Others yet screw into the surface you are using.

plug them in....... then plug the next line into the line that is in the wall.
