I was supposed to start my period Oct. 17 and I spotted once that morning and now its Oct. 26 and I still have not got my period. Its very possible I could be pregnant but I dont know how long I should wait to test. I dont really know what the symptoms should be that I should look for, currently I have a lot of back pain, slightly tender breasts and of course the missed period (excluding the spotting). I figured two weeks would do it but maybe its something more serious and I should find out if its negative and go see a doc? I'm not sure.

You can test immediately, the tests are very sensitive now, and will be able to tell if your pregnant or not. The breasts being tender is also a major indication that you could be pregnant. There is no need to see a doctor to get tested simply do a EPT test. If positive and this is something you want then call your ob/gyn and ask when you should make your first appointment, I guess the same would hold true if this is something you don't want, since they now have the morning after pill. Good luck.

Some tests are sensitive enough to register HCG as early as the first day missed. Take a test at home, it's best to take it in the morning because that's when the HCG levels get a chance to build up if there is any. If it is negative, then make an appointment to see your doctor and find out what the problem may be.

October 18th. You can test as early as the first day of your missed period. It is best to use your first morning urine because the pregnancy hormone will be more concentrated when you have not gone for several hours.

Don't spend a whole lot of money on a test. These things have a huge mark up on them. The pregnancy test at the Dollar Tree is every bit as accurate as EPT or any of those other, more expensive tests.

Best of luck to you.

It sounds like you are pregnant! You can spot during your early pregnancy so that does not mean a thing. You could have already tested. My advice...go buy a digital test that has refills and buy a pack of refils. Test now...test in the morning with your first morning urine and the other test are the... this can't be right...need to test again feeling you will get when the test is positive. Good Luck to you.

One clean dixie cup or empty beer can for testing, ¢10

sounds like you are pregnant..are you "normally" late??
If you do a test now it should be pretty accurate, Use Clear blue or First response, they are 99% accurate after 1st day of missed period.
Your symptoms sound like pregnancy
