business aside and only talking about sport, yes! they can begin the post season earlier and play thru winter break. the students wouldn't even have to miss class.

unfortunately, it's never gonna happen.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! We NEED a freakin' playoff! The BCS doesn't always get #1 and #2 on the field. Almost always, someone just as deserving as the two teams that end up playing for it all get screwed because of strength of schedule or some dumb crap like that. If you HAVE to have a formula for working out a title match, at least use the formula to rank the top 8 teams and put them in a playoff using their home stadiums and the BCS bowl sites for hosting the necessary number of games. Everyone else will still go to a bowl, so that way, everyone is happy. the NCAA will still have a good relationship with the bowls and the schools who don't make the playoff will be rewarded for a good season. Include the independents (ND, Navy, Army) and the smaller conferences, (WAC, C-USA, and etc. in this formula as long as they finish in the top 8.

yes, I feel that it should be similar to the college basketball system. Go with 32 teams: the top 25 and the 7 best after that. Obviously the better teams would have homefield advantage, but it would make for great games, upsets and potential rivalry games in a spotlight setting. The BCS is useless and usually screws the good teams for the sake of sponsorships and T.V. airplay. get rid of it and implement a playoff system.

Why? The BCS is so perfect.

One thing I've always wondered about though: The "S" stands for "series." How can a one-game playoff be a "series"?
