If you have asthma, don't wait too long to call the Dr. Unfortunately, asthma increases your chances or pneumonia, bronchitis and whooping cough. Try taking a warm shower--the vapor will help loosen the icky stuff in you chest and use a vaporizer in your house.

I had this OLD Portugese landlord who, every time I was sick, would get me to drink 2 litres of warm water with a couple teaspoons of sugar and a couple teaspoons of lemon juice. It really works quite well (not 100%, but you will feel better). The trick is that you have to drink it all at once, as fast as you can.

Other than that, for relief you might try a pot of boiling water with some eucalyptus. Put a towel over your head and inhale the vapours (careful not to burn yourself).

Also, Cold FX seems to work ok. But it's better to take it when you first start to feel sick.

Get better soon!

fluids. It usually takes 7 days. If it persists see a doctor. Drink lots of fluids. Dont take decongestants because they prolong a cold, instead try cold eeze, zinc tablets, vitamin c and eccinacaea.
