when i try to run McAfee security or Symnatec Security an empty window opens?

when i try to install the software an empty windoe comes up and nothing happens
this only seems to happen when i use an antivirus software not with anything else

God must be watching over you. Nortons & Mcafee, is the very worse junk out there for years. An each an every passing year they continue to get worse. They are hugh resource hogs and they don't really know one virus when you are hit with one. Plus they cliam they remove them, but they are still in your system.

In my spare time I test antivirus/antispyware programs to see if they perform as claimed.

The only two I have found that really work an I consider them to be state of the art technology that is light years ahead of any other free or paid program.

Download Avast. http://www.avast.com I use this free for home personal use in my back up computer. Never had one virus in over nine years. Plus they have an excellent background scanner that kills a virus or spyware in real time. You get frequent daily automatic updates. They require you to give them your email address so they can send you your free key that is good for one year. After one year you must request a new key.

Their corporate version is the same, they just make corporate pay. This company is out of Prague.

In my primary pc, I use what the Government of China uses. This program you have to purchase. You only pay a one time fee for life, that includes all automatic frequent updates, new versions an excellent support.

There is a 99% chanec of that your computer is already infected with a virus that has blocked antivirus ways.Because I'm not sure wich virus it may be and what it had did to make things go this way, I advise you to consult McAfee or Symantec via there support pages online.
It's the best solution as much I can think.
Or you can use System restore to restore your computer to an eliaer time.Go as much in past as possible and see if it did work.
Or you can try to repair windows with installation CD to restore windows to a likely efficeint condition,but i do'nt think it may work.Consulting an antivirus provider is best solution.

Just like Austine K said if you are trying to run two real time anti virus programs you are more then likely to have some conflict between the two. try removing one of the progrms and see what happens.

go to spyware terminator web site and get it free,it works great and the 2 you are trying to use are junk.

try uninstall both of them two anti-viruses conflick with each other and mess up your computer
