Ewoks. We've seen them in battle. Plus they are larger than smurfs. Smurfs are only ankle high to Gargamel (human) where as Ewoks are about waist high to regular people. Shame on you for making me think this out and present a logical argument.

Surely it must be the ewoks. Smurfs are barely 6 inches tall. Ewoks must average 3 - 4 feet! An ewok falling over would flatten a small smurf village.

Ewoks can take out the best trained, best equipped troops of the Imperial Army with sticks and stones. The smurfs wouldnt stand a chance.
Ewoks are bigger too.

We've seen the Ewoks in battle....the smurfs are just annoying. It'd be the ewoks without a doubt.

The Ewoks. They helped fight against the Evil Darth Vader and won so I'm going with them. I don't think the Smurf's are much of fighters.

Ewoks, hands down.
Their numbers are much higher than the Smurfs, as well as their Vertical superiority.
Plus they have war weapons, whereas I don't recall seeing the smurfs actually using any weapons.
