I was in PE yesterday and we were doing push-ups. Apparently, according to my PE coach, Lindsey was "in the house" with that push-up. oh and it was supposedly "radical".

Doesn't anyone notice kids haven't said that kind of stuff since the 70's??

I guess I'm considered old and I routinely will say things to my teen daughter like "are his rents going to be home?" It really bugs her that I know what teens call their parents and she doesn't like me using "her" language. lol.

lets see im a teenager still in high school and everything but when a teacher uses "slang" its ussually ghetto/hip hop slang and it is from the 70's or 80's something that is not even used nowdays anymore but i just think that it is just dumb in a way. expecially when teachers try to use slang so they seem like their the cool teacher and everything and there is alot of slang from the 90's and now its just not heard of because every different style has it's own slang so now it is just all different it just depends on what style you go along with

Your gym teacher's a groovy cat. It's in the fridge, daddy-o. Are you hip to the jive? Can you dig what I'm laying down? Knew you could. Slide me some skin, soul brother...

Did anyone else get a bit freaked out by Johnny Depp saying that?

Like this is a totally cool question. In the 70's, we said coooooool, far out, neat, and bummer. Enjoy school and do your homework!

I hate it when teens say "like" about 15 or 20 times in every sentence.

Actually the word "cool" has been around many, many years and been used by many generations of teens.

Yeah, it makes me cringe. I'm in my twenties so you would probably consider me old, but I know someone in her 40s who is always asking me about the latest slang and then misusing it. Ughhh!

I'm 29 and I still use the word "awesome".

Is that wrong?

Um, sweetheart, 'in the house' hasn't been 'cool' for five years. Who's more of a square here? Your gym teacher or you?

those words aren't considered cool, so your teacher just made himself look like an @ss
