In 1990, Pelosi voted against censuring Barney Frank for having his live-in boyfriend
run a prostitution ring from Frank's apartment.
Pelosi raised no objections when Clinton pardoned Democrat Congressman Mel Reynolds (Ill.)
who had been convicted of felonies for having had sex with a 16-year-old campaign worker.
The historic Nancy Pelosi is an authentic representative of San Francisco liberal values and hardly
has the record to lecture anyone on cleaning up the Congress.

What do I think? I'll tell you what I know. In the past, democrats have made heroes out of members of congress--Jerry studds--who had actual sex with pages--something Foley never did.
It's a bit much to see the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed treat this matter so gravely, then get giddy when real perverts like Kennedy or Clinton come slinking around.

Because that is the way politics are in our country. The thing is, the Republican party has tried to put up a front of being so moral. However, as a Liberal Democrat, I have always advocated that we need to clean house too. Unfortunately, noone wants to talk about it, on either side until they are trapped in a corner with the truth.

The only political party that protected anyone was the Democratic Party.
Dem. Representative Gerry Studds had SEX with a congressional page in 1983 and he was repeatedly re-elected until 1996.
When he was censured by Congress he turned his back on the rostrum while the voting was going on. Democrats never asked him to quit.
As soon as the Republicans found out that Mark Foley sent INSTANT MESSAGES to a page they had him resign THE VERY SAME DAY.

Democrats do....look up Gerry Studds. He's revered by the left for being the "first openly gay congressman" and he's a total perv. Unlike Foley (who is certainly a scumbag), Studds went way beyond suggestive emails and actually had sex with a page. I suppose that's different, right?

i think you have it backwards,, look at Gerry Studds, who was defended for having sex with an underage by his fellow democrat congressmen, and Mel Reynolds, who was a convicted sex offender pardoned by clinton
