If you are in the U.S. most states have "deadbeat dad" divisions in the Attorney General's office. Just send for the forms, fill them out and let the state garnish his salary. They are his children. He is legally obliged to support them. The state will make him and also go after him for back child support. Good Luck!

Wow...well first of all i'm sorry to hear about this! I know how it feels for the father of your own child and ex husband even can just cast you aside and not want to help support his kids.
Now....you don't need his permission to recieve child support. If you've tried to come to some sort of agreement or even if you haven't all you have to do is go down to your local child support office, bring birth certificates and SS cards for each of your children and fill out some paperwork.
It will help if you can provide some info on your ex spouse such as where he's employed, his income but it will be great if you know his Social Security number. They do the rest of the work!
Check out this site to help you out!

There's no reason you and your children need to be struggling without input from the father!
I know how it feels and once the process is done it's a huge weight off your shoulders!
Good luck and I hope the situation is resolved for you quickly!

Faith:
Today is not hard for you and your children get the benefits from your ex husband. Today all you have to do is go to Court and file a complain and the court will take care of the problem. Is very important that you give them his address, social security number if you have it and if you don't ,don't worry about it. But go to Court and take care of the problem, do it for your kids. Good luck.

Is his name on the child's birth certificate? Does he recognize that the children are his? Hire a family law attorney to take him to court and required to pay child support.

Get a lawyer.Seek a judgement against him. Garnish his wages if need be. If you can't afford a lawyer, use a free legal services agency.

You don't need to ask - you need to demand and use the court system now. If he can make 'em he can support 'em.
