In todays family's I think the parent ought to do some forcing of some sort.
Regardless of church or not the family is being run by the children and that is just wrong.
I would suggest going to church but forcing them to go I wouldn't do.
Making them cut the lawn, pick up the dog stuff and make their beds would be a start.

No they should not force their children. I was forced to sit in church for 5-6 hours every sunday when I was a kid. Because of that experience I refuse to go now and im almost 30. I think parents should explain to their kids the meaning of of church and the different beliefs whether it be religion or scientific and let them decide for themselves.

No, B/c I was forced to go to church when I was 13 and my sibling got to stay home b/c he was already a member. I didn't care when I was little b/c I just thought it it as a another chance to see my friends. Since I'm not a Bible nut my children will not be forced.

When I was a kid my mom made me go to a Christian church. It shaped the way that I think about God and religion.
Now, what if she had taken me to a Muslim church, or Roman Catholic. How different would my views be on religion.
We should maybe be raised without religion until we're old enough to make an informed decision.

Yes you force your kids to go to school. You force kids to get shots and take medicine. If you don't force your ideas then some one else force theirs on your kids. There's a saying about planting your garden but not tending it and being surprised when it is full of weeds.

Do you think they should leave the kids home alone? I think the kids should go with the parents. I mean, they are suppose to obey their parents, but it doesn't mean they HAVE to believe, it just gives them an opportunity to hear.

No parent's should not force them to go to church, You can't force religion on someone, if they don't have the faith in the lord, you can't make them or anyone else.

They don't want to go to school either. Should I tell them it's OK? They won't brush their teeth if I don't tell them to. Should I let them? They want to stay up half the night watching crap on TV. Should I let them do that?
Get the drift?
I am the parent. I pay for everything you own, eat, sleep, use, etc., etc., etc...
When you can pay your own rent, and take care of yourself without my intervention, if you so desire, don't go. Till then, MY HOUSE, MY RULES!!!
