Since he has been employed by us, MR. X has shown an excellent attitude to his work, has been a popular member of our team, and contributed to our success. By implementing a continuous improvement strategy he has made his department an example for the other departments

Couple points first:
Did he start in Feb. or Jan. of 2005? First paragraph states both. Also, spell out all numbers under 10, looks more professional. Lastly, can you embellish on the improvement strategy he did for his department?
