When I run my toshiba laptop with electricity its brightness is perfect but when I use it with the batery the brightness is so terrible...

Is there any way I can adjust the brightness?
I press FN and F7 to increase the brightness but it doesn't work....meaning nothing happens when I do that....

Is it broken or something?

Toshiba has a thing called Toshiba Power Settings. It is in the control panel. That is where you can change it.

No, that just means that your brightness according to battery levels is different than brightness when plugged in.
There should be a battery application or settings, where you can adjust the brightness when your laptop is on batteries. Not owning a Toshiba laptop though, I'm unsure where exactly you can find the program. Try looking through Control Panel.

Go to the Toshiba power settings on the bottom in the task bar. It gives you the option to make it not do that. It is a way for the computer to extend the battery life as it drains.

On the bottom task bar, right click the "plug" icon, a box will appear that has the choice "adjust screen brightness." A new page will appear and at the bottom of it is the brightness control......
