Pistons are usually made by: JE, Arias, Wiseco, Ross or CP. All brands are good for this model.

Major issues are with installing an iron/steel sleeve in your stock cylinder. This can cause overheating and premature piston wear.

Better for reliability is to keep the piston small enough that just a bore and re-nikasil will work. If any larger, go with a complete cylinder kit - with nikasil bore.

Also, if the engine has more than 60 hrs on it, rebuild the crank while you're in there. A worn rod doesn't do well with a big bore piston and the resulting increase in horsepower.
