They can't count to seven. They are used to getting swept like in 2004.

It's usually 4 and done for them!

To answer a stupid question directly, yes we do. we're not idiots, regardless of how you are lumping all good Cardinals fans in with the few people who think it is a sure thing at this point. You have those people every year on every World Series team who get overexcited once they get ahead. And besides, how is that any different from all the MANY MANY tigers fans who were saying we didn't have a shot in hell before the series began?

It's only a few of their fans who seem to believe that a win in Game 4 guarantees victory, but I can see how that would be annoying to a Tigers fan.

You can try to reason with them, and point to 1968 and other series as an example of why that thinking is wrong, but it won't work. For one thing, such logic doesn't work on many of those who post questions and answers here. Secondly, telling many of these kids about 1968 is the same as telling them about 1868 or 1468 - they have no idea what happened before about 1998.

Considering most of the media was starving for the Mets to be playing the Tigers while the Cards were getting absolutely NO respect whatsoever even prompting 1 writer to say that the Tigers would win in 3, I'm sure there are a fair share of Cards fans really chirping it up right now. But like Yogi said, "it ain't over till it's over". However, I do hope it will be done after 2 more games. GO CARDS!!!

Yah, and the Cardinals are going to win the World Series this year. Been waiting for a long time and they will not go down like they did to Boston a couple of years ago. I know you must be scared of the fact that the Tigers are going to lose. Cheer up, there is always another 20 years to get back in the World Series.

What's up with all this 1968 talk? I mean truely, who really cares! Why would you boast about a game that's 38 years old? The Cards have been 16 times and won 9, aren't your "kitties" 4 of 9????

BTW, yes we know it's best of 7 but at least it's possible for the Cards to take it in 5.

Georgie you know we know better than that, dont let a few idiots ruin this experience for you. The WS is one of the greatest things in sports because it is a best of 7 and not just 1 game. I believe that tonights game will be played its not raining as of 2:30 CST

YES..well i do i don't know about everyone else..yes we're getting excited about winning BUT we are at home for 2 MORE game and thats ALL we NEED to WIN...the game before the teams went to St. Louis everyone (meaning the teams and people on FOX and ESPN) were saying it's a 5 game series now..WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE EXCITED ABOUT WINNING THE GAME --GO CARDS--and to be a good sports--good luck tigers (your gonna need it)--there goes my chances for best answer!!

I really don't think they understand at all. I think if they had it their way it would be the best of 1. They cry foul when someone has dirt on their hands even when it is confirmed by the umpires. They think that because yesterday was rained out that means they won that game. According to the news last night it will be played today not tomorrow as some cards fans seem to think.

When the Tiger's walk away as the world series champions maybe they will wake up.

Yes, we know it is a best of seven do the tigers realize that it might not make it to seven games. Its too bad that the Tigers pitcher can't play the game fairly I guess he just doesn't think he is good enough without cheating! I feel sorry for him.
