I have heard this dance/trance tune a few times now and have not yet found out who the artist is. I think it is called stand up as that is the main lyric they sing in it. I know it's not much detail but if you have any idea please help me out.

You're probably thinking, is it put your hands up for detroit, but no its not. It is a dance tune and was released this year.

maybe you misheard the lyrics could possibly be "Hands up for Detroit" a popular dance song doing the rounds at the moment by Fedde Le Grande

don't you mean Put your hands up for Detroit? that could sound a bit like stand up and it's being played a lot at the mo.

"Stand Up" is by Dave Matthews Band off their latest album of the same title. That's probably what you're thinking of.
