I personally don't go to church because I don't care for the people and I don't get anything out of what the preacher says. If I decide to go to church, It will definiately be a buddhist church.

I do go to church and we are non denominational - we just say christian. My church is pretty good because the preacher always has a good message and I get something from it everytime...

I dont go to church either but I consider myself a christian and the churches I do sometimes go to are great I never feel weird about the people and I understand what the pastor says. Maybe you should find the right church or religion before deciding. So are you a buddist?

I am a nondenominational christian. I go to a church that is nondenominational, we just talk about the bible and god's word. its as simple as that. I love God. Personally, I think some people are giving religion a bad name by being too into it. I know that sounds mean, but I think some people ARE too into it, and that is all they can seem to talk about. I love God, but that doesnt mean that he is all I think about or talk about. Good luck in finding a church. Just go to a church you feel good about, you agree with, and the people are ok. It may take a few tries to find it. Good luck!

No, I don't go to church.
Church sessions, to me, are collective brainwashing sessions. It's a very effective brainwashing technique to gather a bunch of people together, stuff dogma down their throats, and have them in a situation where dissent is not tolerated and you're rewarded publicly for behaving "properly" and accepting the dogma. It becomes a self-reinforcing situation.

That's the only need for "church" anyway. According to the christian religion, all you need to do is believe in jesus, accept him as your savior, and try to follow his example to be "saved." No need for church. Going to church is just going to participate in that self-perpetuating brainwashing, which makes you feel good as part of a larger group.

:)

I am a christian, and Ive never been a fan of churches. My relationship with God is personal, I dont feel the need to play the "holier then thou" game with a bunch of hyppocrytes. Jesus came to try and make people realize that you should love and respect each other, not play stupid mind games.

Thats how I see it anyways

I think church is what some people need. Personally, I don't need church to feel spiritual. I'm all for whatever makes people behave.

I don't go to church and I have nothing against people who do go to church. It's not that I don't believe in anything...I'm just not sure...I wasn't brought up in a church going household.
