To convert Fahrenheit temperatures into Celsius:
Begin by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit number.
Divide the answer by 9.
Then multiply that answer by 5.
Here's an example: Change 95 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius: 95 minus 32 is 63. Then, 63 divided by 9 is 7. Finally, 7 times 5 is 35 degrees Celsius. Time to go to the beach!

seems I remember that to convert F degrees to C degrees, you subtract 30 from the F degree and divide the remainder by 2 to get C degrees. To convert from C to F, you go backwards, that is, multiply the C degree by 2, then add 30 to get F degrees.

Example 70 F is 70-30=40/2=20 C and
30 C is 30X2=60+30=90 F.

To be exact, type in on the browser [temperature conversion] and you will find after clicking on #1 you find there, it will give you a conversion table to type in your temp and pick the conversion you want, it will then give the exact answer,

To convert a Fahrenheit temperature into Celsius:

Tc = (5/9)*(Tf-32)

For example, to convert a Fahrenheit temperature of 98.6°F into degrees Celsius, first subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature to get 66.6. Then you multiply 66.6 by five-ninths to get 37°C.

To convert a Celsius temperature into degrees Fahrenheit:

Tf = ((9/5)*Tc)+32

For example, to convert a Celsius temperature of 100 into degrees Fahrenheit, first multiply the Celsius temperature reading by nine-fifths to get 180. Then add 32 to 180 and get 212°F.

Assuming you mean 40 F to C, it is about 4.4C using the formula.
