Marriage is a lifelong commitment, unless the spouse is being really abusive. Marriage is something that is never perfect or easy, it's only perfect if you are able to work through all the problems that arise for the rest of your life, even infidelity. Marriage is not something to get into if you think you are going to always be happy, and nothing is ever going to go wrong. Marriage is God's bond. Above and beyond, marriage is a promise made between a man and a woman to God, that should never be broken unless, like I said in the beginning there is abuse. Sadly enough too many people do not understand what marriage is. They get divorced because they are tired of each other, or they can't stand each other, or they are interested in being with others, etc. These are not reasons to divorce, nobody ever said marriage was easy, and if you thought it was, then you shouldn't be getting married. There is help, and there are ways to get along. If you don't include God in your marriage the chances are that you will end up divorced like everybody else. You know, now-a-days, to get married and then divorce is the in thing to do. It's not a serious commitment, because if people took it that way our divorce rates wouldn't be so high.

What does marriage mean to me? It means that you marry your long life partner knowing your the only one and that just because there are other beauties out there doesnt mean that he gets to run around that he has my heart and respects it to. One who you have kids with and you get to watch them grow knowing that the two of you created them and wondering what they will look like or what they will be when they grow up. When things get bad and you just want to give up you fight for each other because that is what you are suppose to do. You have good communication, good lovers, and grow old together watching your grandkids that you spoil rotten and enjoy what you have left of life before you are sent to heaven. I hope this is how my marriage is and I wish all couples had this ending.

A commitment of love and sharing your life with the one person that makes butterflies appear in your belly everytime your in his/her presence. Its a joining of two lives into one to share lifes everyday ups and downs, to have someone to lean on in both good and bad times. To have children and start a family, teaching your children traditions and making new ones. Creating memories of love and life, living for moments that take your breathe away. Spending time with your best friend and knowing you can share anything with that person, no matter what it is and never being judged. Having someone to rely on, to count on that won't let you down. Giving your all and having it returned.

Marriage means committment. Committment to your relationship, your spouse, your lover, your best friend. It means honesty and trust, compassion and crazy freaky circus sex! 11 years and counting I have been married to my best friend, lover and husband.
