Why won't abortion doctors tell a mother if her child is a boy or a girl until after they kill them?

They don't tell the mother because they don't know what the sex is yet. The fetus isn't old enough to have developed its sex organs so there is no way to know what sex it is. Besides if you are getting an abortion because you don't want to have the child for whatever reason, why would you need to know the sex of the child?

Because some people abort based on the sex of the child.

It happens in China all the time. Because of their population problem, the citizens of China are only allowed to have ONE child (you are fined or taxed A LOT of money if you have more than one). So - because their culture sees males as dominant - a lot of people want a boy and they abort the baby girls. This has been going on for quite awhile - and NOW there are about 10% (I think this figure is right) more young men than one women. And a lot of the young men are not finding anybody to marry. Funny how things work out when people go against what's natural.

Also - I don't think that anybody who is getting an abortion should have access to any information about what might have been.

Actually, I think that comes down to ethics. It is sad to believe, but some people may abort because they want to have a boy and are having a girl. I think it is crazy to walk in to an abortion clinic, get an ultra sound and say, WAIT, I am having a boy! Gee, let me out of here, I changed my mind about this whole abortion thing.

Further, the doctor may not be able to tell the sex of the baby depending on how far along the pregnant woman is.

That is just my spin on things.

If it were not for abortion I would be supporting five more kids than I already have. I’ve paid for five abortions with four women and I’m glade to have done it. The five kids who were never born are glade as well, to not have to come into this fouled up world was a bonus. I tried to see what was aborted, but they wouldn’t give me a microscope to view them with. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about, but there wasn’t enough life there to see anything. If I can’t see it, eat it, touch it, smell it, then it doesn't count also it doesn’t amount to anything other than a few microscopic cells in a dish. I suppose some of you would think that if a man masturbates and shoots it on the floor, it’s the same as murder, and actually you can see the mass of cells in that case.

Because throughout the entire history of humankind on this planet, an OCEAN of time, there has never been, there is not now, nor will there, nor can there ever be any instance where a fetus was "killed", utilizing this method. This word does not apply.

A doctor cannot tell the sex of a fetus that young.

At that stage they may not know. It is not all that easy to tell on ultra sound even later.
