Get a kitchen timer and set it for five minutes, Do something you have been putting off for that five minutes. Then do something else for 5 minutes. Keep going until it is done.
Try doing the same thing on the next task, but increase the time to 7 minutes. Then 10. etc.

I think a lot of people tend to pour scorn on procrastination but it might just depend on how you look at it.
It might not be considered a bad thing to want time to enjoy being yourself and some might think that it is good being able to appreciate the time that you have to yourself.
For some people, even though it may not seem to be many, the time to think about things might seem like a way to make your mind grow.
Have you considered that it is just a possibility the generally accepted view of getting things done could be a way for people to fill their time because they are people who would not be able to see anything in procrastination?

I used to be a serious procrastinator too, until it made me miss out on a lot, if you procrastinate, you'll have to do it later, and maybe later you could be going somewhere fun with your friends or something but you can't because you procrastinated and you have to do what you didn't do before....does that make sense? Well Try thinking of that scenario and see of it'll help......or....JUST DO IT!!!!!!!

I had the same problem. The toughest part is just to get off your butt and start work. From most of my experiences, it's not that bad once you start. I would suggest concentrating on the first step, which is just get yourself started with step one of the task you are trying to complete. Once you start knocking off stuff off your list, you'll begin developing some good habits of not putting off stuff. At least that is what worked for me. Good luck.

make a list of everything you need to do - list them in order of importance - promise yourself that you will complete at least one item a day - discipline yourself to do this - i am a procrastinator also & it was becoming a problem at work - my boss would come looking for something & i never had it done, so i do my list & it seems to be helping.

Try rewarding yourself for doing things early. Or you can use technology reminders (calendar tasks, etc.) to nag you until you get it done.
