Why do we still see images of children dying from hunger and diseases in Africa? What can the world do to save these children from misery and injustices?

Does Madona's adoption mean that we must do something to protect these kids ? When is the world going to stop making wars and start thinking about the children?

simple fact, the rich getting richer and won't share the poor remained poor, the injustice causes hatred and wars. Madonna may be right or may be wrong, we shall see if she really wants to be a mother to this child or just using him as a mascot.

I refuse to get sucked into the whole Madonna issue. I think that everyone in the world has a responsibility to look after all of the world children. If everyone in the world donated 1 days pay every year there would be no poverty or famine. Obviously some would be donating a great deal more than others but then everything is relative.
The more you earn, the more you donate.

instead of taking these kids away from these places people like Madona or any of these people that have more money and influence on people than they know what to do with if they used there wealth to pay for education for the whole village(in britian it costs about £50000 pounds to bring up one child) that money would buy a lot of books a teacher and an education for every child in that village until probably all the kids of that little boys age had grown up.you wouldn't even have to give them the money for it to get lost in governments back pockets. a pop star or millionaire would be much better off leaving the kids where they are and just leaving them an oppertunity to help themselves.

The only thing that this Madonna joke makes me think about is why Africa? We have starving dying children in the US who need help. We have parents who cannot afford to raise their children so they throw them in the shelters or foster care. Why didn't she adopt one of these children? Is this a stunt to try and boost her terrible reputation? Isn't this human trafficking? Could you or I have had such an easy time BUYING and child? Then Oprah brings her on to her show and makes a sob story out of it. She's now going to be an idol for fighting against human suffering. Maybe this child will be used in her next "Book". Who knows.

Maddona's Adoption of a child, that still had a father willing, just unable at the time, to keep his child, means, that just because she has money, she thinks she can buy what she wants.
unfortunatly , she did it. If she really wanted to adopt a child that was suffering why did she search for the best cleanest nicest place to get one, and not take one from true misery. that Baby has a father, she bought it.

Let me get this straight. You want Us,as in we, to save all the children in the world. Let me ask you this. What have you done for them until now?

I also want to point out the following. This country has and still is sending aid to nearly all the countries of the world, both in the form of money and in direct aid (food, fuel and manpower, etc.). To date most of these countries have made war on us, failed to support our foreign policies, sent nothing in return and flat detest our existence. Now, having said this, why should I continue to care about their problems when we could use those assets to better the inner cities in this country and provide more for our own people? Huh?????

I read on YA yesterday that the new onslaught of celebrities adopting 3rd world babies are using them as the new arm jewelry, like the toy breed dogs that Paris Hilton and the lot carry around.
I tend to think she is probably right, as sad as that is.
Nannies and house servants will raise and tend to these kids, and they will be brought out by "mommy and daddy" when required to appease their publicity needs.

i asked a question regarding this the other day. madonna wasn't thinking about the children......she was thinking about herself...as usual. she is a whore and is quite proud of it...who the hell in their right mind would give her the right to adopt? wanting to help an african kid my a55. she wants the publicity...to not make her look like the tart she really is. it has back fired on her and now she is whinging about how her intentions were so good. bullsh!t. she needs a slap....i feel sorry for the kid.

i do agree that her adoption has been rushed she should have waited as long as other potential parents, however his father (baby David) has said that he has gone to a good family and he will have a better up bringing than what he (his father) could have given him. lets not judge Madonnas parental skills. think of baby David, Madonna is taking him back to see his father every couple of years he has the opportunity for a good education, a life without poverty-lets think of that before we judge
