I am not a video game player at all, but the Nintendo DS looks like fun (the brain games and the club house games.) Does anybody have one? Is it any good? Would I be able to use it (keep in mind that I DO NOT play video games!) :) Is it worth $130? Thanks for your help!

I didn't have a video game system until I bought the Nintendo Ds. IT"S AWESOME!!! If you get it try Mario Kart. That's fun and if you have a router you can connect online and play people all over the world! I personally beat the game along with Super Mario Brothers Ds which rocks too. I would definatly start with Nintendogs. It's basicly a tutorial for the touch screen and if you love dogs, it's the game for you! Mario Kart on the other hand, teaches you more about the buttons. If you want both in one game, you should get Starfox Command (which is hard, get this when you have experiance). There are some good brain games too.

If you're not a gamer at all, then I do recommend getting the DS. At one point I was sold on getting the PSP, but when i tried the DS' stylus game Trauma Center, I was moved to get one immediately! The stylus is a great way to play for non-gamers since it feels natural, and doesn't require any of the complicated thumb work (button mashing) commonly associated with 'gamer games.'

The PSP is good too, but it's more for hardcore gamers who want to take their games on the go. the DS is intended for new gamers like yourself who'll get to enjoy all the gaming fun without the fuss.

I've been gaming for more than 20 years, and $130 I laid down for my DS is worth every last bit.

Since you are not a core game player I suggest go for a PSP.It can store music, pictures, video and has internet. But the brain games are not that bad.If you stay with your parents it is a good excuse for getting the DS

The Nintendo DS is a good hand held system but you may want to look into the PSP too.
