Teenagers, as a group, are generally completely clueless when it comes to being a part of the "real world."

Yeah that's true to some extent. As a teenager, I can identify with other teenage feelings. For example, I can identify with the desire to speed on high ways. The freedom of finally getting to drive and the feeling ultimate power that poses drives one to want to go faster and faster. I also can understand why a teenage girl can be so dependant on having a boyfriend that it's a necessity. We're just getting into boys for the most part and the opinion of a guy can go far...even to me who has gladly never had a boyfriend. So, yes that statement is true that teens may share ideas of behaving. But we don't always behave the same. I try not to speed for fear of getting a ticket because I realize that I am not all powerful on the road, and I strive ot remain independant and confident with out a guy to lean on.

they lack experience and tend to make assumptions based on their experience (which is limited).
they have not had responsiblity, financially or socially and do not understand responsible roles (teacher, parent, etc.)
not universal, but common.
