Any artists like Maria Mena?

I'm looking for artists who sound like Maria Mena or John Mayer but with more powerful vocals. I've been digging good vocalists who sing good lyrics recently but I'm not into pop, hard rock or metal. I would greatly appreciate suggestions!

This is an older band, but string vocals. _ Lone Justice singer is Maria McKee also has solo stuff. Duncan Sheik is cool too. I will also suggest trying pandora. They play suggestions based on the artist that you plug in, then you can rate who they play to REALLY personalize your own station.
