For instance I told her I was going somewhere I was going a place I go every year kind of a tradition (a place she has never been) and she deliberately went there before me and took pictures of herself at the place and posted them on myspace? Should it bother me?

the truth is, it IS bothering you. So here's my take on it, you dun have to follow, its just a guide ya.

personally, i 've experience this sort of friend before, best bet, dont tell tell her where you are going, or going to do. if she asks , say "you'd find out soon?'' say it with smile and just that. Better still, dun be bothered to tell her, its not worth it.

iN THE end, it wont bother either you, or her.
Hope this helps.

Another way you can go about it is to sit down with her, and slowly explain to her your concerns bla bla bla. this works if you are talking to a rationale and mindful person, but trust me, some people may deny their actions (even tho they have the intention) and result in you looking like a fool. So take your choice... asses the person before you take the step to approach this problem. Take your time. dun jump to conclusions first. Just be wary but not over cautious that it affects your life.

take care

Yes. They probably have a problem with doiong things on their own. They will have to be with someone all the time or they feel unable to do by themselves. Why not ask if they feel ok to go somewhere by themselves. If they answer they can't, then you know that they are afraid to. You can then suggest going places that you both enjoy, or not tell them where you are going.

Funny thing, I had a friend who used to do that when I was in school. Dressed like me, tried to act like me and wanted to do everything I did! So, I got tired of it and told her (nicely) that maybe she should get her own personality and stop trying to be like me. That I still like her as a friend, but that it bothered me with the way she was acting. It may sound mean to some people, but hey I had to do, what I had to do.

Actually, you should be flattered. She's trying to imitate you for some reason, probably because she thinks what you do is neat. You could always crack some jokes about it ("Hey, I didn't know you were interested in ____, I thought that was just me!") to see if she catches on that you are a bit bothered.

Overall, imitation IS the best form of flattery, so I wouldn't worry too much. Unless she starts trying to steal your identity ;)

Well my wife is my best friend and I LOVE it when she wants to go somewhere with me. Whether it is shopping, to a game, or to the park. Maybe that's why I consider her my best friend. I hate to go anywhere without her.

Did she only do it this one time, or has she been doing it a lot? I wouldn't worry if it was only this once. She was probably interested in going to wherever you were going, because she had never been there before.
