Hell no. They were LUCKY to win that game. I love ND to death because I live in South Bend, but Jesus Christ, what the HELL was up with that game Saturday. They should be thanking their lucky stars they only lost a bit of ranking instead of more.

First off, Charlie is the last person to be saying somebody was at home "EATING CHEESEBURGERS" and jumped them in the polls.

Second, his team is over rated and over hyped. Period.

Third, strenght if schedule (current, not pre-season) is taken into consideration. Ex. even though LSU has 2 losses, they were against auburn and florida (both ranked higher than them) LSU is ranked 14 and will most likely beat everyone else the rest of the year...therefore as long as Auburn and Florida keep winning, along with LSU that alone will keep them up there.

Notre Dame has to beat USC, basically run the table to make some drastic move in the polls.

The BCS is created from 3 considerable factors, u . s . on the instant poll, Harris poll and the pc scores. potential of time table performs a factor yet once you seem on the pc scores, the place that's blanketed, ND is lots forward in proportion factors . potential of time table is merely a factor of an element. Notre Dame could be ranked greater useful in different factors. despite the fact that, previously all of that, you're able to desire to realize that Arkansas' potential of time table is unquestionably worse than ND's. in accordance the CBS sportlines, Arkansas is at fifty 8 and ND at 37. ultimately, listed below are extremely some the communities Arkansas has performed: Mississippi state(3-8), Louisiana-Monroe(2-8) no longer even particular regardless of if that's 1A, Vanderbilt (4-8), Utah State(one million-10), Mississippi(3-8). entire 13-40 two military(3-8), Air stress (4-6), army (8-3), N.C.(2-8), Stanford (one million-10) Totals 18-35 records are not each and every thing, despite the fact that it does tutor some perception into the gentle time table the two have. Arkansas' being worse.

No way. They are exactly where they should be for a one loss team who has only beaten one good team (Georiga Tech) and just barely won at home over a 14 point underdog. Charlie is just mad about the BCS because ND has to be in the top 8 at seasons end to get to a BCS bowl. To answer the question again ND should be where they are at and even if they were a spot lower they still should not be complaining.

Five of the eight teams ahead of them in the BCS rankings are undefeated, while two of the other three are one-loss teams that either have wins against impressive opponents (Auburn over Florida and LSU, Florida over Tennesse and LSU).

Considering that Notre Dame lost the only game they've played to this point against a good team (Michigan), and that they have an easy schedule compared to the killer grind of the SEC teams, they should consider themselves lucky to be as high as they are.

No they shouldn't and he is just worried they will lose another game and not be able to climb up enough to get into the BCS game. Well if they would join a confrence then they would just have to win the confrence. Although I argue if they join one it should be the Big East(which is where their basketball team is) and I don't think that Notre Dame would win the Big East this year. So Charlie can whine all he wants. If he can get his team to win they can get in the BCS game.

Notre Shame...errr...Notre Dame is overrated. They used to be the Duke University of football even before Duke University was the Duke University of Basketball. Now they get all this hype because of tradition. When are fans and the media going to demand that Notre Dame puts up or shuts up? Probably never, not with the high powered alumni that went there.

Well let's see they got lucky against a schizophrenic MSu team and again against an average UCLA team and Michigan absolutley pasted them sooo...no they should'nt be ranked higher and I would say that unless they win out there is no way they deserve a BCS game.

Yes. Texas is number 5, but they lost to the #1 team, well didn't ND lose to the #2 team? They should be inside the top ten, at least.
