Yeah, it does not make sense at all. In the winter when it is cold we leave to work in the dark and come home in the dark. But when it is hot in the summer and everyone uses their AC we leave in the day and come home in the day.
It's just like the war in IrAQ, he thought they had weapons of mass destruction, but there was none, so we went to war. Yet korea just nuked their own country, and the Bush Administration won't do a darn thing. Who's the terrorist.

You realize don't you that Daylight Savings Time ends October 29th this year. This means that we are now on the Standard time adopted by most in the 1880's and officially in 1919 by the nation. It was done to extend the light of evening. Depending on what time zone you live in your children might be waiting in the dark no matter what. Why don't you get up and take them to school or wait with them.
I am amazed that you somehow equate this problem to Pres. Bush.
Next year we end Daylight Savings Time on Nov. 4. That is still about 3 weeks before Thanksgiving.
I am sure he took a personal interest in making life a little tougher for you.

Mr. Bush did _not_ screw up the clock, this year, next year, or ever.
One Mr. Benjamin Franklin is at fault for this cr@p.
The idea of daylight saving was first conceived by Benjamin Franklin during his sojourn as an American delegate in Paris in 1784, in an essay, "An Economical Project."

The flip side is that it will save massive amounts of electricty. Americans use almost twice as much electricity during evening darkness than during morning darkness. Something to think about.

DST has been very successful so far. I figure he probably did learn something from the people who have implemented what he's continuing to implement.
