I was thinking of the saying about the "tree falling in a forest & if no one was there to hear it, did it make a sound?"

Yes. I was on the interenet today and I found out what the slang term

Dutch Oven means. It means someone farts in bed and then pulls up the

covers so the other person smells it.

Anything resembling a fart smells, regardless if anyone is there to smell it or not. And the tree thing....the only way I have ever thought about it was everything makes a sound... doesn't matter if there is anyone there or not.... or probably I could just be completely wrong and have wasted a good minute answering a question I have no idea about...

well your question is flawed because the other question does not say
if "you see" a tree falling in forest
since you yourself have to be present to do the farting you are the witness of your own fart
in the other question there is no witness

of course there is the possibility that the fart is the kind that does not smell.

oh yeah it does, in my office at work it do it constantly and i am the only one to smell it, trust me, it smells, plus the tree falling in if no one at all saw it, not one person like in the fart analogy
