I have a term paper due in a few days about anabolic steriods, why do athletes take them? Besides for the obivious reasons like strengh and endurance and to build muscles.

Society creates a pressure to be winners and if you are a loser that pressure leads to steriods to ultimately gain acceptance and not be a failure.

Why else would they take them? I dont' understand what your asking. Anabolic steroids build up muscle mass and greatly increases recovery time after work outs and recovery from injuries.
Don't be a cheater; you need to do the research yourself. I'm going to tell you teacher and your mommy and daddy!

Basically they take them so they can work out without suffering pain and fatigue. It doesn't provide muscles it provides tehm the ability to work out. They want to be better. You have to keep getting better to stay in the league. The arguement always goes someone else is doing it so they need to do it to keep up. Well I don't buy that BUT that is what they claim.
