Not going to happen. You can sound the horns, put out movies, have celebs do cute little commercials the whole gala of persuasion and the average Joe or Jane on the streets could careless. Why? Because the "sky is falling" cry is getting used and abused every solitary day. We are bombarded with doomsday news every day to the point we are numb and indifferent, so global warming is occurring, oh well, I could get tainted spinach tomorrow, or a terrorist will hijack my plane Tuesday, or the Republicans are taking away my rights, the Democrats want to tax all my money, gas prices will go up $10 a gallon, every stranger in town is a pedophile jeshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So you know the fact the ocean water is 1 degree warmer than a decade ago doesn't really impress us all that much.

My view, which most people probably wont agree with, is, how can the human race be so conceited in thinking that we have any real influence on global warming.? the earth has gone through many natural changes over millions of years and yes i agree something should be done to help preserve it but, i don't think we are as influential on our climate as the polititians would like us to believe, another way for them to tax us more. I hope my view is wrong and that we can make a real difference to our world, maybe eh..? People need proper proof or they will not act... lemmings..

I`m already taking it seriously. I recycle everything I can. Buy most of my clothes from the charity shops. Have all energy saving bulbs. Don`t buy prepacked fruit or veg. Only have my hot water on once a day in the evening. My loft is insulated and I only boil what I need. Everyone can do simple things like this, it`s not difficult to incorporate into your lifestyle.

Why bother as the scientists one minute say we are going to go through another ice age due to the ozone layer and then we are getting global warming in the next breadth. Shan't worry too much as the world will find its own equilibrium in due course.

When it is too late.

Seriously, it will probably happen when people start dying. If we are lucky it will happen when people get uncomfortable but that seems to be here already and I see little change. How about when the polar bears are gone? Or when sea levels rise enough to infringe upon the real estate of the wealthy?

When they stop blocking science from finding cures for serious diseases through stem cell reasearch and when they stop attacking another country's innocent people, using young sons and daughters of our own people to avenge an old grudge and to make the pockets of a few friends a lot more full. That's when. Hope it's soon!! Thanks for asking this intelligent question. Global warming isn't our imagination as they'd have us believe.

When the politicians start to do something instead of expecting us to clean up their mess, start giving some incentive instead of always adding on taxes to fill their pockets, just by putting a tax on something does not make it go away, it just makes it more expensive.
