Have you ever done it, and on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most hostile), how bad was it?

I was in Dallas back in '97 (I think) for work, and me and my boss went to a Cowboys game. They were playing the Colts. I don't like the Cowboys, so I cheered for the Colts. It wasn't so bad at the stadium (I'll rate it a 3) but the next day at the office, it got ugly (I'll rate that an 8).

1 through Ten i give it a seven and a half.
I was at Dallas watching them play the Skins. It was bad, actually pretty bad! The good part is when your team does good and everybody shuts up. That's a great feeling, then I talk trash and ask everyone why they were so quite. Or I was giving the Cowboy fans High fives when my team did good. That pissed them off. But you got to know your limits, because you will get mauled if you go to far. It's fun but you have to joke with all of them also.

I was cheering for the Vikings at a Houston Texans game I would rate it as a 1, but then again the Texans had just come to Houston.

It will depend on if the teams have a good rivalry going also.

I have done it in Buffalo when my Patriots beat them there in 2004, and we had strength in numbers, If u r a few people in a section of locals, u have to be careful. My strategy was to high 5 them when their team did well just to show i was a good sport.

My brother had a hard time cheering for the Pats in Pittsburgh. The people hassled him even tho the Steelers won.

If you go to Giants stadium[9] to root for the other team or Philly[9] it is trouble. The worst place to go root for the visitors is Buffalo[10+]. A co-worker who is a Dolphins fan was in Buffalo on business last year when the Dolphins where in town. He wore his new Dolphins coat to the game. He thought no one cared because little was said to him. But when he got back to his hotel his new coat was full a burn holes from cigarettes.

I have done it (Colts against New England) Id say it was a 7, but probably would have been worse had I been a guy. I got told to sit down and STFU a few times but that's about it.

Its not too bad, but I have had a couple people want to start altercations, particularly when their team is losing badly. Usually they just ignore you.

If you go to Arizona, the home team *is* the away team.
