EDIT* - To all 39 and a half and older respondents.
this Q was designed to make people THINK.
Thinking seems to be such a rare commodity. And thanks to all of you older folks, like me, because your answers do set a good example.

Pablo --There are exceptions to all rules. Focus on the real meaning of the question.
And, btw, almost every 40 year old IS WISER than an 18-30 yeard old. ALMOST.

How 'bout us old 39 1/2 fogies? The learning doesn't stop at 30...

But you're right, these young 'uns have the idea they know everything and the rest of us are dinosaurs (I blame public education).

Now, change the lower number to 9, and tell this to my son, would you pleeeeaaase!?

Your statement is not true, life experience makes humans wiser, I have met many people over 30 that have low common sense and an inability to reason correct answers to problems. Are they wiser? I am amazed at how unintelligent some over 50 year old can be.

I believe I will be wiser at 40, as I am wiser now than when I was 15.

Sorry to butt in here. I know for a fact that you get a little more relaxed about things after 40, after 50 you really start thinking about what you've witnessed.

I'm in my 40s. As my body declines, my wisdom does increase, some.

"We grow old too quickly, and wise too slowly."

Yes I agree with you that we all become smarter with age, but why oh why is this in the Politics section?
