Google "wifi long distance".

There are lots of ideas and tips. I see that the current record for unamplified wifi signal is 55 miles.

Good luck!

Put up a whole bunch more antennaes. You could do a search on Google for extending wifi boundaries if you need specifics. The state of Iowa has wifi at all rest stops along the interstate. I see the antennae's and small satellite dishes every couple of miles.

It's possible to extend a wireless that far with a parabolic dish at both ends. You can actually get up to about 22 miles. However, this is ONLY for fixed installations. At that distance, you won't be able to move around at all. And you'll look pretty silly with a half-meter parabolic dish on your head connected to your cell phone.

Yes, I think that women should be allowed to travel outside a 5 mile radius of their home without their husband's permission. :-)
