also here in kentucky, on the river, it makes you feel as if alls alright with the world, at least in our little corner

We're practically neighbors. I'm in S. Illinois. This is the most beautiful time of the year. Actually this past week was/is the peak. Leaves are really falling fast around here now.

not at all. I'm in Los angeles. things are either still green or just brown. But I remember a place where it was pretty... a long long time ago... in the far off land of Germany.
