You know how you go to stores and try them on just for fun? Well, whenever I do it, it is always the same colour. My friends have had rings that changed colour for them, but it was always dark blue on me. If I remember correctly, that means hapy and in love, but I can be the most ticked off person in the world and it still says that. It's not that I believe in them being truthful, but it was always disappointing for me. :-(
I know.... this sounds like a very silly question, but it came to my mind and I thought... why not? :-)

If I didn't have a heart, it would have to be a different colour. ;-)

I just want to point out that I DID say that I don't believe in the rings actually telling your mood. I'm not a teenage girl and I am not naive.

The material in the ring is sensitive to the amount of acid in your skin, so the only way it might change is, for instance, if you've just washed your hands, or if you've just put on hand lotion. These, and other factors are what causes the ring colors to change... it doesn't really tell the mood of the person! It's just a chemical reaction, (along with the temperature of your finger).!

"Mood Rings" are an entertainment-novelty item & nothing more than that. The key ingredient of "Liquid Crystal" contained inside the glass or plastic dome (in whatever shape it is made) has thermotropic-crystals; the molecules of these twist & bend -and- thereby reflect & refract light differently, thus causing the color changes. They primarily react to changes in your body temperature, so are somewhat like a thermometer, but nowhere near as accurate. They really don't predict your mood very accurately, but it can be fun to tie emotions to the colors that "Mood Rings" change to.

Mood rings react to the temperature of your fingers. If your fingers are warm, you will always get the dark blue. If really cold, the ring color will be black.

I miss my mood ring.

Those rings change color according to your body temperature, and nothing else. However, if you believe they are "mood" rings? Perhaps you're not a "moody" person, so it doesn't work with you....just a guess.
