I know its 5 months away but never to soon to start planning. I live in the pasadena area and I'm willing to drive almost anywhere. I was thinking a romantic night at a hotel, trip to catalina island, a night away from our 2 year old son. Any suggestions are welcome and helpful.

You already have some great ideas...How long have you been with her? For instance, if you've been with her for 5 years, I would give her 5 roses, or 5 balloons with little notes inside telling why you love her. I would take her out to a nice resturant, and plan an overnight stay at a really romantic hotel, or setting. Another romantic thing that I've always wanted someone to do for me is light lots and lots of candles, and have a bubble bath set up. You could also purchase some floating candles, which arent expensive at all, and place them in the bubble bath. For this evening, the possibilities are endless, but those are just a few suggestions!

Honestly, if it were me on the receiving end, I would love a trip to a day spa and then that night a nice dinner out and then a two night stay in a posh hotel! What a lucky gal your wife is!
