Well.. When an actor/actress sneezes during a live theatre performance, they play along and act like the sneeze was part of the play. The improvise that one particular part, and resume to where he/she was before he/she sneezed. But it will rarely happen, because actors/actresses can purposely sneeze before they go on, that way, they get all the sneeze out of them beforehand.
If you want to know more how to prevent sneezing on stage or learn how to purposely sneeze and not sneeze for about 2-3 hours, you can email me at wiredforlyfe@yahoo.com

Actors are playing living beings (generally). Living beings sneeze. It's not a big deal, and certainly not the worst thing that's ever going to happen to an actor onstage in his or her career!

I once choked on a doughnut in the middle of a show and the other actors onstage with me had to make offering me water and slapping me on the back part of the scene.

What happens? Nothing in particular. The best that an actor can do under such circumstances is go forward as though nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. The more attention the actor draws to it, the more distracting it will be for the audience.

u kinda ad-lib and 'act' like the sneeze was supossed to happen. This is actually good for some actors who can pull it off, cuz it shows they are really good actors

The actor is trained to act like any minor mistakes like that is part of the role and they just continue on with the act.
